YourKua Number
Each Kua Number represents a life or HouseTrigram.
From this Trigram, it is possible to determine theauspicious and inauspicious directions for an individual or aproperty.
Each person has four auspicious directions they aretheir Cheng Qi, Tien Yi, Nien Yi and Fu Wei. The four inauspicious directionsare your Ho Hai, Wu Kwei, Lui Sha and Cheuh Ming
Please note that the years are based on the Chinesecalendar. The Chinese New year changes every year and if your birthday fallsbefore the Chinese New Year then you use the previous year.
Once you haveworked out your personal Kua (below) check the tables left to determine yourbest directions.
The Female Kua:
To determine your Kua if you arefemale just add the last two numbers of the year you were born1971
in this example 7+1 so we have theresult 8.
To this, we add 5 so we have13
This is once again a two-digit numberso we add this together 1+3=4
4 is the Kua number. Sun is theKua or Trigram.
If the Kua number is 5 then thisis Center and no Trigram is associated. Female 5 must use Trigram8.
The Male Kua:
To determine your Kua if you are Malejust add the last two numbers of the year you were born. 1971, in this example6+8 so we have the result 14.
This is once again a two-digit numberso we add this together 1+4=5.
Now subtract from 10.
10-5=5.
5 is theKua number.
The number 5 male or female isassociated with the center so has no Trigram or Kua.
Both Male 5 should use Trigram 2and female 5 must use Trigram 8.
